This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Straight Talk for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Let’s do some scenario setting, and maybe you can imagine yourself in these situations:

You need to call someone but you have to make it a very quick call because the cost of the call is very expensive;

You’re on the phone, you called a friend, and she keeps on talking and talking and talking and all you do is look at your watch and count the seconds as they ticked away… and you wished she’s just stop so you can turn off the phone and begin counting the cost of the call;
You’re phone is the old type and you’ve been wishing for an upgrade to an Android phone;
Now ask yourself this question: when was the last time you wished the cost of mobile phone calls will not cost so much?

Pause for a moment and then imagine yourself talking to someone using an Android mobile phone and feeling good – richer in fact - simply because you don’t have to worry about the cost of the call. Know this: if you can imagine yourself doing this, then don’t be surprised because this can really come true to you. How? With Straight Talk! You’re problem is solved with Straight Talk! Yes, you heard it right! With Straight Talk, you can use your phone for as long as necessary without having to worry about the cost. With Straight Talk, your mobile phone bill will be cut in half as they offer the lowest cost, plus no contract, no surprise bills with hidden charges and fees, and definitely no credit checks! And then, topping all the good in the offer, you get an Android phone and Feel Richer with Android from the most respectable mobile phone companies such as Nokia, Samsung, Motorola, LG, and Kyocera. So, what are you waiting for? The power of Android is now in your hands through Straight Talk!

Coffee Enema

Posted by Laureen at Friday, October 21, 2011 1 comments

3 years ago I was diagnose to have thyroid cancer. Since then I started to be health conscious. I watched what I eat. I usually eat only fish and vegetables. I seldom eat pork, beef and most especially chicken. I also do coffee enema since I've learned from my father's doctor in Alternative Medicine that cleansing enema ensures the best body detoxification to help you live a healthier and longer ..... naturally!!

Enema has been used for 100 years and one generally regarded as safe. Additionally, coffee cleansing enema have a chemical make-up that is stimulative. The enzymes in coffee, known as palmitates , help the liver carry away the toxins in bile acid. The coffee is absorbed into the hemorrhoidal vein, then taken up to the liver by the portal vein with the bile ducts dilated, bile carries toxins away to the gastro-intestinal tract simultaneously, peristaltic activity is encouraged because of the flooding of the liver colon. Thus, when the colon is evacuated, the toxins and bile are carried out of the body.

Enema greatly contributes to the strength of the digestive system. It improves the blood circulation not only to the large intestine but also to the organs of the whole digestive systems.
It improves the digestion of food and also improves the secretion of the digestive juices/enzymes.

What you need:
You will need to buy a re-usable enema kit (available at most pharmacies)
Distilled water
Organic Coffee
A comfortable spot that might allow clean-up to occur
Lubricant
Some place to hang the enema bag. It should be about 1-2 feet above where your bottom will be
Lie in your left side and bend your right leg. (upper leg toward your chest keep your left leg.
Straight this position should be fairy comfortable while giving goood access to your anus.

Coffee Enema Recipe:

Bring 8 cups of water to a boil in a glass pot.
Add 4 heaping spoonfuls of grind organic coffee.
The liquid should be about body temp. If you stick your finger into the water it should be lukewarm.

Note: If you prepare ahead just pour boiling water to make it 1 liter.

It has been 3 years now that I do coffee enema. I only stopped for a while during my pregnancy with Zane. Truly I can attest to
it since doing coffee enema I feel good and healthier and I also noticed that I seldom experience hyper acidity unlike before.

Childhood Memories

Posted by Laureen at Tuesday, October 11, 2011 3 comments

One of the memories I treasured during my childhood was biking with the family.

I remember that my parents gave each one of us bicycle.

One time, my late father asked all of us, me, my brother and my 2 sisters except my mom to go biking from our former house at Nazareth Subdivision going to our rest house (now our present residence) at Balulang. The distance was quite far but we enjoyed riding our bicycle and we did not feel it the distance at all. But when I saw that we were going downhill. Oh my! I panicked and yelled, "Tay! Tay! Tay! (father) and then I was way out of control, so my father yelled, "brake! brake! brake! so I did pressed my brake right away. Bang! crashed! I flipped over and I fell off my bike then landed on the dirt. I had a few bruises at that time because my brake was only in front. lol! But I never had regrets though because it was our bonding moments as a family which was so valuable to me...

Now seeing my nephews, neice and my son biking together it reminds me of my best childhood memories.

Walgreens Wal-Fex 24-Hour Allergy Relief Saved My Day

Posted by Laureen at Wednesday, June 29, 2011 0 comments

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I am a 38 years old mother of 2 kids, and at this age, I never expected to experience allergies. All this time I thought allergies are only experienced by little kids. How wrong I was.

It all started when one morning after I woke up, I went outside my kitchen to pick flowers from my back garden to put into my living room vases. I was expecting friends that morning, and I wanted my living room to have fresh flowers. After cutting the flowers, I suddenly felt the fingers in my hand itching. In a matter of minutes, I then started sneezing, and then my nostrils started feeling itchy as well. I immediately told my husband about it. Much to my surprise, he had a sister who had allergies, and he said my symptoms are similar to what his sister had been going through. With that, we decided to go to the pharmacy. As we entered the Pharmacy, I was a bit troubled because I did not know what medication to buy. The itching has continued, and I was feeling uneasy. Good that the Pharmacist who assisted us was very helpful. She recommended to me Walgreens Wal-Fex 24-Hour Allergy Relief from. She told us that it’s one of their fast moving allergy medication and is very effective. It was also affordable, something that is very important for someone like me who’s very conscious with my budget.I took the tablet and was relieved from itching in just a matter of minutes.. Boy was I glad!Today, thanks to Walgreens Wal-Fex 24-Hour Allergy Relief, I am no longer afraid to pick flowers in my garden knowing that I am protected from allergy 24 hours a day.

What's in Your Hand?

Posted by Laureen at Wednesday, June 29, 2011 3 comments
Last April, my son's hand got hand injured ( will share the story about it soon). We were invited for a birthday party at the beach and my husband and I decided not to let my son swim on the beach because of his injured hand. But I felt pity for him because he looks so sad while looking at his cousins enjoying the beach. So I wrapped his hand with a plastic bag and allowed him to enjoy the mini waves. He was so happy even though he can't let his left hand down on the water.

Fun Activities for Kids

Posted by Laureen at Thursday, May 26, 2011 3 comments
My son loves to have an adventure especially with his cousins. Last year, they have this mini-camp in our backyard and everyone enjoyed the camp. I can hear loud giggles inside the tent and they were all very happy playing and talking with each other.

My nephew and nieces will be coming home this December and I am sure the kids will have another fun and exciting adventure. If it is safe for them, I wanted to let them experience water rafting or the zip line adventure in Bukidnon. If not, then I guess we will just have to go hiking on Eco Village. I think I should prepare a hiking gear for my son so that when the time comes he will be ready for his next adventure.

I hope December will come so soon so that my son can now meet his cousins and they will enjoy their time bonding with each other.

Wednesday Whites # 1: The Dress

Posted by Laureen at Wednesday, May 25, 2011 3 comments
This is my niece dress during her baptism. She's now already a grown up and she's now also a mom. Two years ago, she gave this dress to me during my daughter's first birthday celebration. The dress was well taken cared of and I find it very nice for my daughter. I bought a little ribbons and bids to modify it and make it more attractive. My niece was so happy to see the dress looking so new.

The photo below is my little girl wearing the white dress. Isn't she cute?

I'm excited of my house renovation project this year. I am still waiting for my money to come and hopefully by then I can start the project. I am currently considering to hire a house contractor and a Floor contractor but thank God my cousin's hubby who is an engineer will be helping us with the renovation. My brother also helped me with the design and when I saw it I was all the more excited with the plan. I hope the project will start very soon.

Blue Monday: At the Beach

Posted by Laureen at Monday, April 11, 2011 3 comments
Last Saturday we went to Medina, Misamis Oriental to visit our aunt who celebrated her 82nd birthday. The travel going to her place would reach 3 hours but because we wanted to make her happy on her birthday we went there together with my family.

She celebrated her birthday at the beach. My kids enjoyed swimming and playing in the sand. We also rode the glass bottom boat. During our ride we got to see a lot of beautiful corals, colorful fishes and other sea creatures. I got dizzy with the ride but my little girl had so much fun especially during the time when they feed the fishes.

Below is the photo of our bottom glass boat ride. Looks fun isn't it?

Blue Frame

Posted by Laureen at Friday, April 08, 2011 0 comments
I was browsing Zenni Optical today and found this cute eyeglass with blue frame. Zenni has this new try on feature where you can try all the frames available on their site. All you have to do is to upload your own photo and find out the frame that perfectly fits you.

I have uploaded my son's photo and this is what he looks like with eyeglasses on. He looks so serious and I choose the eyeglasses with a blue frame because its perfect for little kiddos like him. There were other blue frames I found in their site which has a mixture of different colors. You can check it out and find one that suits your taste.

I know it's too early for my son to be wearing prescription eyeglasses, but I was just curious about his looks when he's wearing eyeglasses. He looks very cute and he looks like a grown up. I'm going to show this picture to him and I'm sure he will be laughing at this.

If you wanted to find out the perfect frame for you, check Zenni optical today, try on all frames and share it on FB! I'm sure you and your friends will love your photos.

Using the Computer

Posted by Laureen at Friday, April 01, 2011 0 comments
My son has learned how to manipulate the computer by observing his older cousins and his granny. Sometimes he asked instructions but he seldom do that now as he is so familiar of it. One time I was browsing online and was having difficulty going to the page I want. I was surprise when my little boy taught me how to do it. It was so easy for him that I was even more motivated to learn stuff online. Modesty aside, I am thankful that my son is smart. I am not sure if he would take up computer engineering or web design and logos designs when he grows up. His ambition as this moment is to become a fireman. LOL.

Things to Improve

Posted by Laureen at Friday, April 01, 2011 0 comments
We had our school's board meeting yesterday and one of the things mentioned was on the things that needs to be improved in our school. I suggested to change the floorings of the classroom as it is already old. It looks soiled and it is very hard to clean. My cousin suggested to have a rubberized floor so it would be safe for kids during play time. Although a Carpet Installation would be better but I guess it won't be too friendly for children who have asthma and allergies. Anyway, I hope the rubberized flooring would be materialized in this coming back to school season.

As I have mentioned in my previous post, my little girl will be having a birthday party this month. I am planning to make a birthday banner for her and this is one of the things that I need to do for next week. I am not the one who will be making the banner but I will be looking for printing and logo designing companies who can make a beautiful birthday banner for my 3 year old girl. I hope it will be affordable so I can buy some other stuff for her birthday.

My Blog Visitors

Posted by Laureen at Friday, April 01, 2011 0 comments
I don't always update my blog because I am busy taking care of the kids and doing school work. Since, I don't usually update it anymore I am sure that there are only a few visitors are now coming to my site. I don't know what to do about it now. Maybe I can go back to joining memes and exchange links with other bloggers or I can have it advertise in a paid search marketing to drive more visitors in here. Well, I guess I will have to settle first for link exchange because I don't have enough money to pay for advertising.

Kids Should Spend Time with God

Posted by Laureen at Friday, January 28, 2011 2 comments

Two weeks ago we had our family devotion and our topic was about the fast pace world. It says there that the first thing we must to is to list down the must do, should do, and can do. I asked God for wisdom on how to explain this things to my son, Z's level since he is just 4 years old.

So, I asked Z , " When you wake up in the morning what must you do? Must do are the things you can't compromise." Then, he answered "pray." I asked " How about the should do?" He answered "Watching cartoons on DVD." Then I asked again " Is watching cartoons important?" So, he quickly answered "should do is "study." Then I asked "How about the things we can do?" "watching cartoons on DVD' quickly came his reply.

After that topic for our devotion, now Z knows what to do when he wakes up in the morning. Lately, he has been reading his own bible. I was praying to buy a bible for him that he could read it himself. Thank God! I found one at National Book Store which was in fact so cheap, it only cost P165.00. It is entitled "My first Bible Treasury" and Z likes the pictures on it too. It contains basic essential bible history and includes stories: Adam and Eve, God the beginning, Samson and Delilah, Noah's Ark, Jesus, Salvation, interesting facts, prayers, etc.

Now, when he wakes up instead of begging me to watch cartoons since his classes is in the afternoon. He now ask, "Mom May, can I read now my bible?" He reads his bible in the morning and before bed time.

For that it made me a happy Mom.Hope his eagerness to learn more about God will continue forever even when I'm gone.

A Trip to Camiguin Island

Posted by Laureen at Monday, January 24, 2011 5 comments
I had a wonderful opportunity to visit Camiguin Island last month, with my family, and my in-laws. It was very tiring but the experience was worth it. Here are the places we visited in Camiguin.

1. WHITE ISLAND:
The sand was indeed white but we got frustrated when we can not make a perfect sand castle for the sand was not that fine. It looks like ground sea shells. We enjoyed the kite flying. The other kids wished they brought along their kites too...There were others who dared to asked where we bought our kites.

We enjoyed swimming and just enjoying the scenery of the surrounding mountains. There was even a mountain in front of us that is shaped like a lady lying down. The thought of being in the island itself is so amazing.

2. ARDENT SPRING:
The best! The experience was truly relaxing. They said the hot spring is therapeutic. As a stay at home mom, filled with lots of household chores, I would definitely recommend this place. It's very nice to be in this place once in a while, giving yourself a nice break.

3. SANTO NINO COLD SPRING:
I can't forget this place since I almost drowned here. I slipped and fell from my rubber tube. They have a pool for children and adult. The adult pool is so deep, so if you don't know how to swim better take the kids pool. It is not safe to swim without a life vest or you need to rent from them a rubber tube. It is refreshing for others but for me it gave me muscle pains after the swim for the water was icy cold.

4. INIGMATA OR TARZANS NEST:
The place is so unique and you will be stunned by the creativity of the artists. It's a great place to visit especially for people who do appreciate artworks.

I was thankful to God for letting us spend time with the family and the opportunity to witness His wonderful creation.

Babies and Diaper Rash

Posted by Laureen at Wednesday, January 19, 2011 1 comments

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Boudreaux's Butt Paste. All opinions are 100% mine.

As a mom, we don’t want our babies to experience diaper rash. But no matter how much we pamper their skin or how often we change diapers; we still end up dealing with diaper rash and skin irritations.

Some of my friends deal with diaper rash by giving their babies a nice warm bath. Once the baby is dry, they put some baby powder on the skin and gently rub it in before placing the diaper back on. This is quiet effective but some kids are just prone to diaper rash than others and they need a specialized cream to be placed on their thighs and buttocks especially when it already red and swollen.

One of the best creams that is now very popular among moms in the US is the Boudreaux's Butt Paste. This is a specialized cream specially formulated by pharmacist to provide effective diaper rash care. It contains 16% oxide and it is known to be safe for our babies because it is recommended by a Pediatrician. This product is available in convenient sizes, it has a pleasant smell and it protects the skin of your babies. Also, Boudreaux Butt Paste has been featured in many US shows like Ophra Winfrey Show, Tonight Show, Today Show and many others.

If you want to try this new butt paste, just visit Boudreaux Butt Paste’s website and receive a free sample of this product.

How Do I Look?

Posted by Laureen at Monday, January 17, 2011 0 comments
When I am dressing up, I usually ask my son if I look okay with my clothes. He would stare at me and would say that I am beautiful. Sometimes he would give a comment like… Your beautiful mom but you’re fat!” Oh, that hurts, but it’s true. Sometimes I jokingly tell him that I was hurt by his comment but he smiles and told me its okay because I look pretty. (LOL) It’s now very hard for me to lose weight especially now that I don’t have thyroid glands anymore. Even though I don’t eat a lot, still I feel like I’m getting bigger everyday.

Some of my friends told me that I lose weight. But the way I look at myself it is still the same. I guess nothing has changed. I want to lose weight so I can wear clothes like wolford leggings, body hugging blouses and many others. But I guess I still have to wait a little bit more and I know I can wear them in due time. But if I don’t lose weight, then I would happily accept it. After all real beauty can’t be truly measured by just your looks. It comes from within. What is important is that you are happy with yourself and in the way you look at yourself.

On Valentine's Day

Posted by Laureen at Monday, January 17, 2011 0 comments
When it comes to Valentine’s Day, many people think about love, finding a date, and being nice to a spouse. Some would think about giving Gift or Present ideas like Valentine’s Day cards, chocolates, flowers, surprises and many other things that will make someone feel special.

When I was still in high school, most of my guy friends love to give flowers and chocolates. But I don’t like receiving flowers and chocolates from them so I gave it to my classmates. They were the ones who enjoyed the gifts. When I my husband (who was my boyfriend then) gave me a cute stuff toy, I appreciated it a lot. It looks so cute and until I can’t still forget his gift.

Now that I am married and have two kids, I am planning about giving a special gift to my husband. I won’t go for expensive stuff but I make it sure that he will like it. But above all these gifts and presents, I will dedicate this day to remember God’s greatest love. As the world celebrates Valentine’s Day, I will also celebrate this day by showing God’s love to other people.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave is one and only son, that whosoever would believe in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.”

If you think, nobody loves you and cares for you… God loves you so much and He can be your date on Valentine’s Day.

Going Back to Thailand

Posted by Laureen at Monday, January 17, 2011 0 comments
My sister is inviting me once again to their place because they will be conducting another English workshop for the pre-school kids. I’m quite excited about it but I’m a bit hesitant because I feel like I don’t have the resources of going there. But if God will provide for my fare, then it won’t be a problem anymore.

One of the things that excite me in going there is the opportunity of being a blessing to the little Thai kids. While teaching English to little kids, I also had the opportunity to learn Thai as well. I enjoyed talking and playing with the kids even though there were times that we can’t understand each other.

Another thing that I love in Thailand was to buy Sterling silver jewelries for my business. I have been selling silver jewelries for years now and most of my customers loved it. This is because Thai silver jewelries are more intricate when it comes to their design. Most teenagers like love heart necklaces, toe rings and elephant earrings. The mothers like dangling earrings and charm bracelets.

Lastly, I love to go back to Thailand because I want to bond with my sister and her family. We rarely see each other and going back to their place would be a great opportunity for us to be with each other and update ourselves with lots of stories.

Oh, writing about this makes me want to go back to Thailand and visit my sister. But I am still praying for this and allow God to move in His mysterious ways.

Can I Go to School?

My son Zboy is now in Kinder 2 and everyday he goes to school. My little girl who is now 2 years old is always wondering why she can't go to school like his brother. Every time his brother wears his uniform, she will immediately get her bag and ask me if she can go to school too. I told her she can't go to school yet because she's still a baby. Because I said no, she will cry. That is why I bring her to school once in a while during our activity day. When she's in school, she really feels she's a student. She greets the teachers, sits properly and listens attentively. She looks so cute while acting like a little student.

If you ask me if I will send her to school next year... not yet! She's still so young and I wanted her to enjoy being a child yet. When she's already 4 years old, that's the time I will enroll her to a pre-school class.

Full-Time Blogger

Posted by Laureen at Friday, January 14, 2011 0 comments
I don’t write posts more often these days because I don’t have much time to blog anymore. I am now working full time and when I am at home I am busy with the kids and doing household chores. Good thing, I can update this blog once in a while I am not too busy.

I envy my sister and cousins because they now have so many blogs and are earning big cash from it. They are indeed full-time bloggers. I wish I am like them too. They update their blogs more often and most of them bought domain names for it. Some of their blogs are self hosted and I am sure they have read web hosting pad and web hosting reviews before having their blogs hosted. I don’t know much about this, but all I know is that it enables them to make a lot of money from their blogs.

I am still on the process of learning all these stuff. When I have more time to blog, I will also consider buying a domain name for this blog and have it self- hosted. For the mean time, I will just have to update this blog once in a while and hopefully I will consider myself to be a full-time blogger probably in the next few months.

Going to Grandma's House

Posted by Laureen at Thursday, January 13, 2011 0 comments
We will be travelling to my mother in law's house in Butuan this coming Friday. Hubby's aunt died and she is one of the family's closest relative. The kids are now ready for the trip and they are now excited to meet their grandmother. The kids rarely see their grandma and I hope they will have a great time bonding with her.
